Diverse Learners

At Scone Public School, we have a strong commitment to ensuring that every child experiences success through their growth and achievement of academic outcomes.

To meet the needs of all learners, programs are differentiated within the classroom setting with additional staff provided to ensure individualised attention and targeted instruction. 

Camps and Excursions

Students from Kindergarten to year 6 participate in excursions to enhance and support classroom studies. They often provide practical experiences to extend learning in a particular curriculum area.

Overnight camps support increased independence, improved social skills and create lifelong memories. 

Additional Support

For students needing additional support with their learning, we offer a number of flexible learning support programs including:

-quick smart maths

- MiniLit

- MultiLit

-Centre for Effective reading

-Targeted group lessons within the classroom with their class teacher

- Individual Learning Plans

Extension

Opportunities are provided for students to participate in programs that enrich and extend them across the range of key learning areas.

UNSW competitions, eGATS, STEM and Maths Olympiad are some of the programs on offer for selected students.

Aurora College is a virtual opportunity class available to eligible students.
