Aboriginal Education
Aboriginal Perspectives are incorporated into all classrooms to increase the knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal histories and culture.
Sista/Bro Speak
The Sistaspeak and BroSpeak programs support career aspirations and self-esteem for Indigenous girls and boys. They run as a 10 week program.
Celebrating Culture
Throughout the year, the school community celebrates cultural events such as ANZAC Day, NAIDOC week, Harmony Day and Scone Horse Festival.
Cultural Learning
Scone Public School collaborates with local elders and mentors to share cultural knowledge with our students. These opportunities occur for indigenous and non-indigenous students across the school.
Didgeridoo
Stage 3 Indigenous Boys (Yidaki Birray) are provided with tuition in playing the Didgeridoo by Uncle Richie Lawton. The boys have performed at many community and school events.
